Joe attended high school in Thomasville, Georgia and graduated in 1998. After high school, he attended the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, majoring in Business Management.

In 2001, Joe left Georgia Tech to participate in professional athletics with the Buffalo Bills. Currently, he is enjoying his career, and ultimately plans to teach high school history and coach at the High School level.
