Executive Round Table provides students with a unique experience
to articulate ideas in a business-like environment, found
no where else at Georgia Tech. Students are given the opportunity
to teach, learn and share ideas with a diverse group of community
leaders. The format of open-ended discussions in a professional
forum provide the opportunity to develop professionalism and
enhance speaking skills while networking and interacting with
other students, faculty and corporate leaders. Each member
has the ability to discuss a wide variety of topics and provide
their own unique perspective to any discussion. ERT also provides
students the opportunity to learn more about the issues that
are currently affecting business and academics and how the
leaders in each realm are dealing with them. Membership in
Executive Round Table is both a privilege and a great opportunity
to learn.
Membership Requirements
In order for students to receive the most benefit from ERT
as possible, there are several membership requirements:
Attendance
Students can only benefit from ERT if they regularly attend
dinner meetings. Attendance is required at 2/3 of the dinner
meetings when in Atlanta. The Board of Directors has the ability
to review individuals who have failed to attend several dinner
meetings. This policy does take into account out-of-town coops,
internships and summers away from campus.
RSVP Policy
Reservations for a dinner meetings are sent via Evite.
A response is required from the student by the Friday prior
to the dinner meeting. You must cancel your reservation by
Monday at 5pm to avoid being charged for your meal.
Financial
All students are required to pay annual dues of $30. Each
dinner meeting costs $15, due by check or cash at the beginning
of that meeting. If a student RSVPs "yes" to a meeting
but fails to attend a dinner meeting, he will still be help
responsible for the cost of his dinner ($15).
